Tok

I figured it was time for a Tok post. Tok-Shaman, or just Tok...or just Shaman, is the wolf hybrid of the kennel. Somewhere from 94% - 98% wolf he's convinced he's all lupus! I personally love him. When he wants to be he's affectionate and funny.

This photo originally had his chain in it but I decided to try my hand at the cloning tool. I think it turned out alright except for a bit in his hair. Hair's hard to clone :/ Still, expect lots more of this bad boy, chain or not. I've already got tonnes lined up!

Firestar

Here's Firestar checking out the wheelbarrow full of straw. You can see her disaster area in the background. I'd just put all that straw in her house but she thought it would be funny to toss it all back out.
At first I didn't like this photo. The colour and composition really appealed to me yet her action was a photo wrecker. I've since sucked it up and fallen in love with it despite the handle sniffing.

Megatron and His Eyes

Megatron is a weenie of the kennel. He's definetely not lacking in character. His gorgeous blue eyes are about the only thing I can get a picture of since the rest of his body is always moving a mile a minute. He's a big sweety in an even bigger body. This wheel dog can definetely drag your rear anywhere he wanted.

Big Horn Sheep

So today I ended up kicking myself. The flock decided to graze on the ridge right up from the kennel, had some great shots if only I'd taken my camera to work... I figure I might appease myself a bit by posting this big boy though. He and his buddy were cruising a ridge heading up to the Spray Lakes area where I seen them on the way up. On the way back into town they just decided to stand in the middle of the road. I managed to get a couple of decent shots so now I just have to cross my fingers that I have my camera the next time they show up at work!

Massive Range

Behold the Massive Range, one of the eye catchers from Banff, Canada. This photo features the snowy September Massive Range reflected in the, for once, calm Bow River. I got to see this lovely image every morning that I cooked steakfry, what better way to wake up?

If you're interested in finding this show for yourself it's easily accessibly. Simply go to the Cave and Basin in Banff and follow the paved fire road out along the river (walking/biking/etc. trail only). You'll see scenes like this during the entire hike!

First Post. First Pic.

So I finally decided to get my ass in gear and get a blog up for my photo's. Here you'll find new photo's and descriptions as they go up on my flikr account, possibly even short stories about taking the photo.

Let's start this off with a photo of Mistaya, the princess of the kennels. Mistaya's a pure bred Canadian Inuit Husky, a very rare breed of Husky. Her name is the Stoney word for bear. In this photo she's 8-9 months old.
